Karl found an easy transition to glass blowing through his experience shoeing horses.

He blows glass in a studio near Tucson, Arizona. In addition to his Cowboy Hats, Jars, Bowls, Vases, and Platters, he also makes a variety of shaped glass objects for commissions. His hand blown "Cowboy Hats" and his "Basket" series, based on traditional native shapes, continue to develop with his creative approach to molten, liquid glass colors.
